Sideshow Bob in Animal Farm !!!

Wed Mar 13, 2013, 12:25 PM
  • Mood: Shocked
  • Listening to: Me Against The World - Simple Plan
  • Reading: Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets
  • Watching: Regular Show
  • Drinking: Water
Ok so at school we're reading this book, I'm sure some will know it, it's called 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell.
After finishing the book, our teacher let us watch the movie of it.
There are two versions, the cartoon and the real animals and we watched the real animals version.
I noticed one of the main characters, a pig called Snowball had a familiar, amazing voice...
And I realised after about 2 seconds that it was KELSEY GRAMMER !!! :la:
A few kids at school looked at each other too as if they recognised the voice too, but none of them could remember where they had heard it...
EXCEPT MEEEE ;)
I was so happy watching it!! Snowball was also my favourite character anyway. He was the kind, fair pig who wanted the farm to live happilly and everyone to be equal. Napoleon, another pig, was a big, cruel bully who wanted the farm run his way.
If you have read the book or watched the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about, but if not, 'Animal Farm' is based on the Russian Revolution, and the animals represent certain people. It's an interesting book, you should read it!

I seriously couldn't believe that Bob/Kelsey's voice was in it! I didn't think it was popular enough to have a star like him in it. It's also English, so I was suprised there too.

SIDESHOW BOB APPEARS EVERYWHERE :iconcannotevenplz:

Yes the Anthology was poems and short stories. Not a fan of poetry myself.

I remember watching the film in 10th grade after reading the book and I was pleasantly surprised by Kelsey Grammar's voice appearance.

Yeah I've just watched it now in 10th grade too, and same here! For me it improved the movie quiete a lot as Kelsey's voice fitted in really well, even though Snowball didn't have much to say in the movie.

I read that in fifth grade, and after the book, we watched the cartoon version in class. It was 1991 so the live-action version wasn't out yet. Then I watched the live-action version in 1999 and a couple of times since. I really liked that version of it, and I usually disapprove movies based on books if I read the books first.

I haven't seen it in several years and had no idea Kelsey Grammer voiced Snowball. Now I'll have to watch it again. Actually I should check his filmography and see what else he's done so I can be on the lookout for that velvety voice. :D

I've just read it and watched it now. All the other classes watched the cartoon version and at first I wanted to watch that one aswell. I really liked it aswell, and normally I do aswell. I was suprised how the movie was actually really good along with the book.

I didn't realise until a few minutes in! I started fangirling in class xD Yep, I had to be sure so I looked it up, and sure enough there it was. Hahaha good idea! I didn't even realise he did a voice in Toy Story 2 until about last year, I guess sometimes you just don't even notice  But he voiced Snowball really well, and Snowball was also my favourite character.
